Did You Know Book Series | Early Reader Books About Historic Figures

Perfect for elementary students and Head Start Programs, the Did You Know Book Series offers children easy-to-read stories about some of history's great leaders and innovators. Each book is developed with larger than normal text and colored illustrations, while including a cut-out picture in the back for the child to hang as a poster in their room or school.

The original concept of the Did You Know books was a result of the company founder William Shoecraft wanting to share significant contributions in history by African American figures to his daughter in 1988. Without many options available for them to share, he decided to write his own book about Rosa Parks – which became a great success.

In later years, he would then pen more culturally sensitive stories early readers could enjoy, and thus Did You Know Publishing, Inc. was created. Each book is hard-bound and laminated, while also including highlighted vocabulary words and a glossary. I think you will find these books to be both informative and fun for children of all ages to read.
